Overview

I designed brand identities and marketing materials for local businesses partnering with our product promotion platform. These small-scale clients—spanning retail, F&B, and services—needed ready-to-use visual assets to launch their products on our platform and promote through physical channels.

As the designer for this service, I created social media graphics, digital signage, posters, and pop-up event banners for each client, building cohesive visual systems that connected with everyday consumers. I worked directly with business owners to develop brand expressions from initial concepts, and provided creative direction and design reviews for projects handled by other designers.

The work demonstrated my ability to quickly establish distinctive brand voices across different market segments. Clients continued their partnerships based on the commercial performance of their branded materials, with the visual systems successfully supporting their product launches and sales.

From Concept to Physical Activation

Designed a campaign identity inspired by instant curry packaging itself—creating carefully crafted logo typography, product photography integration, and original background patterns that communicate the fair's offerings at a glance. The design translates seamlessly from digital promotional materials to physical retail environments, demonstrating how a strong visual concept maintains impact across different scales and contexts. The packaging-inspired approach makes the promotional material instantly recognisable as food-related whilst standing out in busy retail spaces.

Tailored Brand Voices for Diverse Local Businesses

Each design demonstrates strategic visual differentiation based on target audience and product positioning. The "Doyo no Ushi no Hi" campaign on the left employs traditional Japanese visual language—combining product photography with evocative local scenery to emphasise regional authenticity and craftsmanship. In contrast, the cake shop campaigns on the right adopt a soft, playful aesthetic with pastel colours and carefully arranged typography to resonate with the core demographic of women in their twenties and beyond. All logo designs and typographic treatments are crafted through thoughtful typeface selection, spacing refinement, and visual effects to ensure each brand maintains distinct personality whilst achieving immediate visual appeal.
