Overview
I designed a comprehensive product management platform for supply chain clients struggling with disorganised compliance documentation. The platform addresses a critical challenge: managing extensive technical files and regulatory documents in an industry with no structured systems.
As the UI/UX designer, I designed the complete user experience—from information architecture and user flows to detailed screen design and a supporting design system. The platform uses AI to process documents: users upload technical files, and the system extracts data into structured, editable forms with full version history. I also designed integration with an external risk assessment module, creating a unified compliance workflow.
The platform significantly accelerated client workflows, transforming previously chaotic compliance tracking into a streamlined, clear operation.
Iterative Design Based on User Behaviour & Scalability
The first version on the left prioritised document upload functionality as both a global navigation element and prominent dashboard action, based on initial assumptions about single-module usage patterns. After observing actual user behaviour and anticipating platform expansion, the second version on the right introduced a modular homepage architecture. The redesigned navigation and quick action selections reflect learned user habits, whilst the new card-based layout provides a scalable framework that accommodates additional modules without structural redesign—ensuring the platform can grow seamlessly as new compliance features are introduced.
Systematic Design Foundation & Comprehensive Flow Design
The custom component library on the left establishes visual consistency across the platform, building upon the company's existing design system whilst introducing specialised elements for compliance workflows—including colour coding for risk levels, form patterns for structured data entry, and interface components optimised for document management. The user flow diagram on the right demonstrates the breadth of scenarios designed across the platform, mapping complete journeys from document upload through AI processing to compliance tracking, ensuring cohesive experiences across all touchpoints in the complex compliance workflow.
